What We Do:

The Skyral Business Development team is responsible for realising our company’s ambitious growth goals, breaking into new markets and maintaining relationships with long-term clients. We are seeking an International Business Development & Sales Manager who will focus on driving growth in the International Defence (including NATO) market by selling our simulation and modelling products, whilst also developing long-term relationships to enable repeat business.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Demonstrated expertise in business development, sales, or account management, particularly within International Defence (including NATO), is highly desirable.
  • Comprehensive comprehension of the International Defence market, encompassing technological, regulatory, and procurement dimensions.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities, fostering robust client connections.
  • Familiarity with bid/opportunity governance processes, such as Shipley methodology.
  • Strategic mindset coupled with a track record of devising and implementing growth strategies.
  • Capacity to operate autonomously and collaboratively, adeptly handling numerous priorities and deadlines.
  • Readiness to undertake international travel for client meetings, industry functions, and other professional commitments.

What You'll Be Responsible For:

  • Engage in market research, competitive analysis, and strategy formulation to identify and pursue new business opportunities within the sector. This involves assessing potential markets for expansion or entry.
  • Lead contract negotiations and agreements with clients and partners, striving to meet sales targets by aligning company offerings with client needs.
  • Foster close collaboration with internal teams, including product development, marketing, and project management, to ensure client requirements are understood and projects are executed successfully.
  • Offer valuable insights into market trends and customer preferences to inform the development of new products or services. Participate in international industry events, conferences, and exhibitions to stay abreast of market dynamics and expand professional networks.
  • Uphold adherence to legal, regulatory, and ethical standards pertinent to the international sector, including compliance with export controls/licensing and security protocols.
