What we do:

The Skyral Business Development team is responsible for realising our company’s ambitious growth goals, breaking into new markets and maintaining relationships with long-term clients. The next 12 months is an incredibly exciting time as we grow this team to support our offerings to the UK Government and MoD. The Bid Manager will play a crucial role in securing new business opportunities, managing the submission of bids and acting as a primary contact between Skyral and our clients.

What we are looking for:

  • Previously worked in a Bid Management position utilising strong project management skills.
  • Demonstrated success in leading bids and securing contracts.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • A strategic thinker who has the ability to work autonomously and deliver to tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of the defence sector, including regulatory and compliance requirements.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive bid strategies to secure contracts, including identifying win themes, analysing proposal requirements and setting timelines.
  • Manage the preparation of bids and proposals, ensuring they meet all technical, financial and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as the primary liaison with potential clients during the bid process, including attending briefings, asking clarification questions and presenting proposals .
  • Conduct and support market and competitor analysis to inform bid strategies, positioning, potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure all bid submissions comply with industry regulations and standards, including adherence to strict security and confidentiality requirements.
